Friends of God Social App — Last updated: 10 October 2026
Friends of God Social App ("the app", "we", "us") is a Christian social community where believers can join live prayer, take part in live chat and video groups, share posts, photos and videos, send private messages, and read the Bible together.
This policy explains what information the app collects, why it is collected, how it is used, and the choices you have. It applies to the Android application with the package name com.friendsofgod.social.
The app is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, please contact us using the details below and we will remove the account and its data.
All permissions are requested at the moment they are needed, and you may decline or revoke them at any time in your device settings. Declining a permission only disables the specific feature that requires it.
The app displays advertisements through Google AdMob. The Google Mobile Ads SDK automatically collects and shares your device's IP address, app interactions (such as app launches, taps, and video views), diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers. The IP address may be used to estimate your general location. Google uses this information for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The SDK encrypts this data in transit.
The SDK may use your device's advertising identifier to personalize ads and measure ad performance. Where you can choose not to receive ads through the app's privacy message, the app won't request ads after you decline. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your Android settings under Settings → Google → Ads. Where required, an in-app privacy message lets you review, give, or withdraw advertising consent and manage your choices.
Google's advertising privacy information is available at policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
To protect our community, images uploaded to the app may be automatically screened using Google Cloud Vision SafeSearch to detect adult, violent or otherwise unsafe content. Text messages are checked against safety rules before being published.
The app provides tools to block users and report content. Reported content and the associated account information may be reviewed by us so that we can take action, including removing content, muting, or suspending accounts that break our community rules.
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:
These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy and security obligations.
Please do not post sensitive personal information that you would not want other members of the community to see.
We keep your account information and content for as long as your account remains active. Content you delete is removed from the app. When you delete your account, your profile, posts, uploaded media and messages are deleted from our systems, except where we are required to keep certain records to comply with the law or to resolve disputes. Backups and logs may persist for a limited period before being overwritten.
Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to request a copy of your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, or to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
To delete your account and associated data, use the account deletion option in the app's settings, or email us at the address below from the email address registered to your account. We will action verified deletion requests within 30 days.
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Access to stored data is restricted by server-side security rules so that users can only read and write the data they are entitled to. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
The app is available worldwide. Your information may be stored and processed on servers located in countries other than your own, including the United States, where our cloud providers operate. We rely on the safeguards offered by those providers to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated in the app.
